If bee pollen contains fungi and lots of bacteria, why do they sell it? do the nutrients outweigh that junk?

usualy it is pasturized to kill the bacteria and fungal spores but the sugars also help to bind water and keep the bacteria from growing.

Pollen is important for bees, because it contains lot of proteins - it is fed to larvae to help them grow.

Some people think pollen is healthy for humans too - that nutrients it contains would be somehow more natural or pure or mystical than ones we get from common food. This is of course not the case, just the myth, which lets the alternative medicine sellers take your money.
