Can somebody tell me how to crossbreed flowers?

How should I collect the pollen and how can I prevent a flower from self-fertilizing?

Can somebody tell me how to crossbreed flowers?
ok if you want it to not self fertilize put a plastic bag on top of the flower and when the flower blooms you collect the pollen from anoth flower which is the sticky stuff in the middle put the pullen in a tiny plastic container and then after about a day shake it up then get a paint brush and brush the pollen on the flower after about a week or so (depending on the flower) it should then start to get swollen and then it will have a hudge like bubble and then when it gets ripe (the bubble changing colour usually red, yellow or orange and cut it off get the seds out and then wash them and put it in a moist papper towel and then you put it in the fridge or in the room tempreture depending what plant it is
Reply:When I pollinate my African Violets I use a soft paintbrush (a small one) to collect the pollen from the anthers on one plant and brush them onto the stigma of another.

Reply:Get a feather duster, slightly tap the pollen and tap the other flower.
