How to stain pollen grains for light microscopy / fluorescence microscopy/ confocal microscopy ?

i am in need of proper protocols for staining pollen grains (pollen exines) using flourescent and non-fluorescent stains.

You can use lactophenol blue.. but other than that, especially for florescence, I am not sure. Lactohpenol blue is used typically in staining fungal structures and is a very common staining chemical.

There are others like TritonX that are used to stain viruses, but this is a more complex method of staining that requires a few chemicals and heating the sample.
Reply:no need of staining.
