What is meant by 'there is a correlation between pollen count and hay fever symptoms'?

2) Locate large book entitled 'dictionary'

3) Look up 'correlation'

All will then become clear....
Reply:It means that the higher the pollen count the worse the hay fever symptoms.
Reply:there appears to be a trend between the pollen count in the air and amount of hay fever either going around or in one individual. remember, however, the correlation is not causation, and there could be another explanation for the hay fever that could explain the pollen count as well, or not.
