True or false: Pollen in plants is the equivalent of eggs in women (humans).?
i say false, the pollen is equivelant to sperm
Reply:true
Reply:Pollen is the agent of fertilisation -the switch that turns the growth on- and sperm is therefore a better analogy than eggs.
Reply:I'll go with b (false); it seems to me it's a closer equivalent to human sperm.
Reply:False. Bees carry pollen from flower to flower to pollenate. Its the equilvalent of men's sperm. Trees with pollen are males and the ones with berries are females when it comes to Junipers.
