Why do some pollen grains have complex shapes?

To fit and work in specific kinds of plants, as complex as then. It's like a key in a keyhole, if it's not the correct, its not able to fertilizer the plant. Nature 's Wisdom...

to hold on too birds insects and too catch wind and pollenate more grain
Reply:I read some time ago that the shapes of pollen are related to their ability to irritate the mucousal passages and produce a histamine response from mast cells, producing an allergic response. It could be that pollen has evolved in this way for some benefit.
