Female worker bees. The drones are the only male bees in the hive. Their purpose is to fertilize the queen. Drones don't collect pollen. In fact, the drone bees (all male) do no work and in the early autumn/winter they are evicted by the workers and die. Then the queen and her workers (all female) eat the honey!
